Download Results From Pathnet

Medchart is able to download lab results from Pathnet and automatically enter them into the database.

In order to download lab results from PathNet some additional software needs to be installed on your computer. This software can be downloaded from the Microsoft web site. More details can be obtained from Pathnet. Please follow the instructions below:

In order to install MSXML 4 you need to download two files from the Microsoft web site.

• Go to www.microsoft.com
• On the lower right corner you will see a "More Downloads" link. Click on it
• On the lower part of the screen you will see a drop-down box labeled "Product Name"
• Choose "Windows Installer"
• The "Operating System" drop-down box should be reselected to your operating system. If not, select the appropriate one.
• Click on "Find It"
• Click on "Windows Installer Redistributable for ..." to download the installer, and then run the program.
• You will need to reboot your computer now.
• Go to msdn.microsoft.com
• In the upper right corner, under "Key Topics", click on "XML"
• In the upper right corner, under "Essential Info", click on "MSXML 4.0"
• On the right side, click on the "Installer" link.
• Accept the license agreement, and store the file on your harddisk.
• Right-click the file, select "Install" from the menu, and follow the instructions.

• Once the installation is complete, you can run the HL7 program.
